Empathy Museum
As part of a project in collaboration with 81 Acts, I was commissioned by Empathy Museum to source, record and produce a set of stories around The Uprisings in L8 (Toxteth) in 1981. I worked with members of the community to facilitate people to tell their own stories of that time and some of the context before and after. These works will be made public soon at an exhibition in London and I can’t wait for you all to hear them, they’re really outstanding stories of resilience, adversity and hope.

Hope mural on Granby Street, L8. The same road where the first skirmish between locals and police resulted in the arrest of Leroy Cooper in 1981 - this was the start of the L8 Uprising.
