This is a podcast series created from start to finish by Flora Zajicek. Myth-busting migration. This podcast explores what it means to be a refugee through listening to the journeys, the stories and the people involved.

To make the podcast Flora travelled along The Balkan Route, spending time with migrants and refugees along the way in various settings. She made friends, helped out and most importantly, listened to what they wanted to say.

When Flora returned she gathered her material together, story-boarded, episode-planned, edited and released the podcast. Flora also created a communications strategy to reach a broad audience. The podcast reached 32 countries with 1,500 downloads in the first month alone.

The series aimed to provide counter narratives to media representations of 'the migrant crisis', giving a platform to human-centred stories to bust harmful myths around migration. Flora has continued to work remotely with many of the refugees she worked with, providing therapeutic support.
